The company Meister Stahlbau AG was founded around 1890 in St. Gallen (Switzerland on Lake Constance). The company is a family-owned business and has been a stock corporation since 1952. Over time, Meister Stahlbau AG has become one of the leading specialists in the most demanding cold forming and further processing of steel and metals.

Conventional metal and steel construction was discontinued as early as the 1970s.
